Cézanne Laurette asks her readers this important question in Before We Go, a memoir and guidebook that hopes to assist humans in living and dying authentically.
In response to research conducted at MacEwan University that showed a deeply-rooted fear of death in Northwestern society, the idea for this contemplative journal bloomed.
Laurette was moved to create something visually stunning and emotionally relevant to help those across all stages of life contemplate their mortality in a healthy way.
Through thought-provoking questions and her own personal reflections, Laurette offers a space in which honestly expressed thoughts can be penned. Readers are invited to join the author on this grounding journey to share about their current selves and document how they would like to be celebrated, remembered, and cared for in their death. Ultimately, readers will create their own memoir to be picked up by loved ones left behind.
